Green & Red Crabs from East Java

160 pair

The crabs in this pair are made of wood and tin and painted in enamel. They appear to have been made in the 1950's and most probably were part of the decoration of a seafood restaurant. The crabs are realistically depicted indicating that the maker was familiar with the real thing. The furthest points appart on the green crab's body measures approximately 17 cm. They are made to be attached to the wall as if they are crawling.
